Georgette Meunier (October 7, 1859 – 1951) was a Belgian still life painter. She was born in Brussels as the daughter of the engraver Jan-Baptiste Meunier, and the older sister of the painter Marc-Henry Meunier. Her father was the older brother of the painter-sculptor Constantin Meunier.〔Georgette Meunier in the RKD〕 She was trained by Alfred Stevens and became a member of the artist group L'Essor.〔 Two of her works were shown at the Chicago World Exposition in 1893.〔(Women's Art at the World's Columbian Fair & Exposition, Chicago 1893 )〕 Her painting ''Study of a Heron'', was included in the 1905 book ''Women Painters of the World''.〔''(Women painters of the world, from the time of Caterina Vigri, 1413-1463, to Rosa Bonheur and the present day )'', by Walter Shaw Sparrow, The Art and Life Library, Hodder & Stoughton, 27 Paternoster Row, London, 1905〕 Meunier died in Brussels. == References ==
